“An excellent massage that saved my vacation”

My husband I were visiting Sedona for a few days the week of April 13. I did nothing out of the ordinary but ended up with a muscle spasm in my lower back. It was not a pain I wanted to tolerate for the rest of the trip. I asked the Inn keeper for a recommendation for a massage therapist, and he told me his wife used Uptown Massage. I called, and Maria was able to give me an appointment with in an hour or so. The massage studio is very pleasant, inviting, and calming. It has a good feeling tone about it. Patricia gave me an excellent massage, actually, heavenly. I was literally in good hands, and I felt treasured and pampered. A good massage is not just physical, it works on the emotions and clearing and calming the mind. Patricia’s massage certainly was that and more. My pain was gone and has not reoccured in a week’s time. I was able to spend the rest of the vacation pain free. I think if I am in Sedona again, I will make an appointment at Uptown Massage because it was a good part of my Sedona experience. Thanks, Patricia.

“Wonderful Massage & Ambiance”

We had a couple’s massage yesterday that I had booked a few weeks ago. Booking with Diana went very smoothly – requested hot stones & reflexology & use of the room with view of red rocks. Upon our arrival, we were able to sit on a small outdoor area and have some water, listening to beautiful wrens sing to us on a beautiful Sedona morning – so great intro. We were escorted in to the room. Meg did my massage & believe it was Michelle who did Dennis’s massage. Meg did ask me what I wanted & I confirmed the hot stones & reflexology. Found out after we left that this didn’t occur for Dennis and he did not get the hot stones so there is some communication improvement needed in that regard. He did still very much enjoy his massage. We have both had many massage experiences in various settings. I must say Meg’s massage was excellent and the ambiance of the massage room with the view, beautiful fireplace, birds singing away along with very calming CD music & water fountain ranks right up there & very satisfied with our choice of Uptown Massage. Met Diana the owner afterwards and had a very nice conversation with her including a recommendation in terms of psychic readings, which was appreciated.

My dad and I each had a 90 minute massage at Uptown Massage and it was the best massage I have ever received. My therapist was extremely professional and very attentive to my sore spots. Diana and her staff were also extremely accommodating, pushing our scheduled time out thirty minutes when we were running late, and then extending our massages from sixty to ninety minutes. I would go back to Sedona just to visit Uptown Massage again.

A truly fantastic experience. It’s been a rather stressful time for me lately, so during my trip to Sedona a massage was a must. I had a massage from Patricia – and all I can say is that not only was it the best massage I’ve ever had, I came out of it feeling really at peace, and I had even commented to her and my friends that were also getting massages – “just well-cared for.” It truly was unlike any other massage I’ve ever had. My three other friends also felt they had gotten the best massages they’d ever had. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it perfectly. Can’t wait to go back to Uptown Massage!!!!!

5 STARS – My husband surprised me with a 45 minute massage on the tail end of a busy family vacation. Between Patricia’s great work, the oils and the airy setting I was really able to relax and get the kinks out. I work with a very accomplished Massotherapist at home and am usually very careful to not expect much from drop in type places, but this is an exceptional place.

Having played sports at a very high level most of my life, I can honestly say this was one of the better massages amongst the probably 300+ I’ve had. Recommend for sure.

She listened to what my body pain issues were and planned the massage accordingly. When she was done I felt like she had realigned my spine and I was so relaxed. It really was amazing!!!

5 STARS – My boyfriend and I had a couples massage at Uptown Massage during our recent trip to Sedona. It was within short walking distance from our hotel (Amara). It was very relaxing and much needed since we had backpacked Havasu Falls a few days prior. The therapists were friendly, professional and really nice people. This was my boyfriend’s first massage and he was a little nervous going into it, but afterwards he was very relaxed and happy he did it.

5 STARS – This had to have been one of the best massages I have ever had! After a hike in Sedona’s breathtaking trails and a day at Slide Rock with the kids, this was a welcome treat for the soreness especially in my feet. The massage was tailored to me and what I needed most. I particularly appreciate the the calming sights and sounds of nature interplayed with the organic lotions and therapies used here. A very natural setting tucked away from the bustle of Sedona’s main shopping areas. A great place for a girls’ getaway. The location of Uptown Massage is ideal for exploring the shops of Sedona prior or after your appointment. The facility is very serene, relaxing and cozy. I don’t care for large spas with a lot of hustle and bustle, so Uptown was perfect. Most importantly, the massage services were superior. 5 STARS – I had the fortune of having Diana (owner) be my massage therapist. She is a very warm, nurturing therapist that has a very intuitive style. It’s almost like she knew exactly the places on my body that needed the most work. Throughout the massage I felt extremely relaxed with light music playing in the background. Diana made sure that I was comfortable and that her pressure was not too hard or too soft. At the end of the massage I felt refreshed and ready for the rest of my day. After the massage she made sure that I was feeling well and welcomed me to sit and relax for a few minutes until I was ready to go. I found her to be a very sincere and warm person who is very proud of her work and her business. I would definitely come back on my next visit to Sedona. 5 STARS – During a vacation in Sedona, my girlfriend and I decided to get a couples’ massage at Uptown Massage after a few days of hiking trails. Even though we were both getting massages simultaneously, we had different, specific requests as to how exactly we wanted to feel during, and after, the massage. Even though I wanted a relaxing massage, an experience to rejuvenate my tired body after days of hiking, I needed someone with gentle but firm hands – because I’m very ticklish (totally embarrassing, I know, but it’s true).
The young woman who administered my massage did so deftly – and with ninja-like skills! It was like she was there but not really there. I felt hands and that was it. It was a fantastic massage, and my girlfriend and I felt relaxed yet energized and renewed when we were done. Don’t bother with the main street places – go to Uptown and you’re guaranteed to leave satisfied.

5 STARS – My wife and I visited Sedona celebrating our anniversary. Decided to include a 90 minute Hot Stones couples massage as part of the celebration. The ambiance at Uptown Massage was very relaxing, starting with our first step in the door. My wife enjoyed a Lemon Zest Foot Scrub and Massage for starters while I relaxed in the comfortable reception area.
Once I was able to get in the game with a Deep Tissue massage, Jodi was simply phenomenal. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed Diana’s gentler massage approach. Both Diana and Jodi were caring and personable professionals. As this was only our second (and best!) couples massage, we really didn’t know what to ask for. After a couple of questions from Diana, she was able to assess what would work best for us and she was spot on.
This is our third visit to Sedona and we will certainly include Uptown Massage and Diana in all future trips. We highly recommend the experience.

5 STARS – We were staying at a higher end hotel and didn’t want to pay $300 for a 90 min massage. I got on the Internet and found UM. I was thrilled. My deep tissue massage was heavenly. What I liked the most was my lady was open to what I enjoy in a massage. When I go back to Sedona you can be guaranteed I will do to UM as much as I can squeeze in. LOVED IT. Oh yea, I have at least one massage a month, at a lot of different places, so I know a good massage.

I called Diana and she called me back immediately, was extremely warm and friendly, offered suggestions and was open to scheduling the massage at a time that worked best for our family. Her office is SO beautiful and peaceful. Even though it is right in town, it feels like a million miles away. 5 STARS – I was in Sedona for a girl’s yoga trip and after 3 hours of yoga for 3 days, a massage was right up my alley! Diana greeted my friend and I like we were guests in her home. What a sweetie! The massages themselves were heavenly and you must purchase the facial spritz she has. There are 3 different scents but my personal favorite is Uplifting!! Do yourself a favor the next time you visit Sedona and stop in at Uptown Massage!
